TLS Annual Gathering

Schedule Overview

An exciting program has been planned for the 2008 Annual Gathering during which we will reflect on our past and look forward to the future.

The schedule has been shortened this year to a Friday-Sunday format, with opportunities to extend the Gathering time with pre- and post-gathering activities.

The annual business meeting will be held on Friday afternoon at 3:15 pm. All members are invited and encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting to be involved, stay informed, provide input into the business of the organization and to vote in the election to fill Board of Director vacancies.  Plan your travel to arrive in time to attend this important meeting.

The 2008 Gathering will be a balance of old and new, looking back and celebrating where we have come since the beginning and looking ahead to envision a vibrant future.  This will be Kimberly Lowelle Saward's final meeting as TLS President  A new president will be announced at the Friday evening opening ceremonies.

TLS' first president, Helen Curry, will return to the podium with other TLS founding members as they share the "Early Steps" and the history of what brought this diverse group of individuals together for a common yet unique purpose.

Robert Ferré will present "Science and Spirit" on Saturday morning, a talk about labyrinths in health care settings and healing journeys.  Robert coordinated the first two TLS Annual Gatherings and is a master labyrinth maker, specializing in hospital installations.

On Saturday evening we will explore the life-death-rebirth symbolism of the labyrinth in "The Sacred Passage" with Rebecca Rodriguez, who will share her expertise on labyrinths in hospice. After her presentation, we will walk the labyrinth to the healing music of Sonam Targee.

Gernot Candolini of Austria will share a unique exploration on Sunday morning,  and will be  followed by an international panel discussion on the future of labyrinths in the world, "The Next Step."

Pre-Gathering workshops on Friday include "First Step" transitioning into Gathering with G/Joan Guilfoyle, dowsing expert, Marty Cain, and creating personal labyrinth inspiration cards with Rebecca Rodriguez.

Post-Gathering activities include a Sunday afternoon workshop on creating personal canvas labyrinths with Kimberly Saward and Lisa Moriarty, and a day-long bus tour of Atlanta area labyrinths on Monday with John Rhodes.

You will find more detailed descriptions of all these activities as you explore these pages further.
